Our History
The meeting of strategic vision, operational expertise, and the desire to explore new frontiers led to the choice of Cape Verde, an African archipelago south of the Canary Islands. In the early 1990s, the country presented itself as a pristine, largely unexplored destination, rich in potential and characterized by unique conditions: a strategic location (6 hours’ flight from Europe), a mild year-round climate, political stability, and a legal framework favorable to investment.

Italinvest is a Cape Verdean holding company with an international outlook, operating in the country’s main strategic sectors of the economy: tourism, real estate, industry, and agri-food.
Founded by Andrea Stefanina—an entrepreneurial pioneer in the Cape Verde archipelago since the early 1990s—Italinvest also has strong roots in Italy through Stefanina Group Srl, the Italian parent company. This structure combines European vision and organizational expertise with African development, promoting sustainable and integrated growth for the benefit of the territory, people, and the environment.
